ABOUT LILIAH ORNELAS, CSE

Liliah is an AASECT certified sex educator (CSE) and registered drug and alcohol tech (RADT) currently working independently as a sex, relationships, and recovery coach as well as in a drug and alcohol treatment center. Liliah has been sober herself since 2012.

In Liliah’s own recovery journey, she received very little support in re-discovering herself as a sober sexual person. She had never had sober sex, had never been on a date, and had experienced very little true intimacy, sexual or otherwise. She relied on drugs and alcohol to make sex happen at all. Back then, she needed help that she didn’t get and it took a very long time to find herself. Too long.

In 2016, Liliah then found herself working in residential drug and alcohol treatment and saw the exact same thing happening to others. Liliah saw people relapse over and over again because they were told to “put sex on the back burner.” Liliah saw people who didn’t have that luxury and also didn’t know what else to do.

This started Liliah’s life as a sex educator in recovery spaces. She teaches people how to find sexual health in recovery through a curriculum of her own design, a selection of process groups, and one on one meetings. Liliah strives to always create safe, non-judgmental, sex-positive space for healing & self-discovery in sobriety.
